ANTIFA, a belief, not an organization.

A couple of days ago, I posted a link to a high school newspaper where a child, educated others, on questioning authority.
The need to question authority has never been greater, and the need to teach our children to do so has never been stronger.

Today, the President of the united states has decided to declare ANTIFA, to be a terrorist organization.
Yet, there is no organization. ANTIFA is a belief, it is the belief that is rooted in a deep fear that we will leap from children in cages to people of color in death camps.

Though many people believe this to be impossible, consider, how our nation has declined, Henry Wallallace talked about the struggle between the haves and the have nots, in a way that was transparent to our lives he said "“If we define an American fascist as one who in case of conflict puts money and power ahead of human beings, then there are undoubtedly several million fascists in the United States.” -Henry A. Wallace

And I think the woke people look at the world we live in today, where income no longer equals living, for most Americans, but just getting by, and people face million-dollar healthcare bills as the award for surviving a virus, in this reality we know, we are the have nots.
It is no longer a question of who exhibits power, it is a question of who has power, do we? do the corporations? Do corporate-governments?

“The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism—ownership of Government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.
The second truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if its business system does not provide employment and produce and distribute goods in such a way as to sustain an acceptable standard of living..” – Franklin D. Roosevelt 1938

An "acceptable" standard of living" DO WE HAVE THAT? Most of us, NO, we do not, we exist in extreme debt, be it student loan, housing, or cost of living, we borrow and borrow to exist, to provide for our families, to send ourselves and our children to college in a HOPE that we will secure a job, that pays enough, for the payment of our debts.

This is not, an acceptable standard of living, nor is it acceptable that our nation lock its doors on people who seek out a better standard of living than they have, people who come here from South America and Mexico and Syria, and Palestine who just want to live, without a daily threat of death. Only to find, that if you are a person of color in America, you DO, continue to live under a daily threat of death.

“Fascism is capitalism plus murder.” – Upton Sinclair

The people who hold the antifascist beliefs live and work with you every day, the people who hold antifascist beliefs pay their taxes, go to church, serve in the military, go to PTA meetings, the people who hold antifascist beliefs are probably you.

There is no ANTIFA base, there is no ANTIFA army, there is no ANTIFA weekly meetings, there is no ANTIFA dues system or currency, there is no ANTIFA bible or books of belief. For the most part, the only time when people who share the beliefs so well defined as ANTIFA see one another is AT protests where we stand together to say "THIS is not okay" and then we leave, and go back to our normal everyday lives, until the next peaceful action, where once again, we stand together and say "THIS IS NOT OKAY" and go home, unheard by those in power.
What there is, are millions of people, probably including you, who believe the world, should never again see a repeat of the holocaust, who believe that corporations power and influence should be limited, who believe that we should be as a people-powered by "life liberty and the pursuit of happiness" and NOT the drive to accumulate enough wealth that we should be broken under a system of debt. There is no organized element of ANTIFA what there is, is a hope, for a better America, there is a common-sense belief that we cannot accept that the direction our nation is heading is what is best for our children.

Now IS the time to check your beliefs, either you are antifascist or you are not. Our republic is in danger, democracy is in danger.

“When Fascism came into power, most people were unprepared, both theoretically and practically. They were unable to believe that man could exhibit such propensities for evil, such lust for power, such disregard for the rights of the weak, or such yearning for submission. Only a few had been aware of the rumbling of the volcano preceding the outbreak.” – Erich Fromm, Escape from Freedom
