Maye – Records

When we got maye she came with some amazing records, the Previous Owner was amazing at taking care of her.. I presume thats why shes in such good condition today.

Engine And Vehicle  Facts

  • Came of the production line May of 1970 (Hence the name maye)
  • 1600cc Engine Engine Code 113 129 701 AA
  • Single Carb Solex H30/31PICT
  • Single Vacuum Advance Distributor

4 Previous owners to me.. PO 1 owned the bus for 30+ years Maye lived in Corvallis Oregon and the PO kept wonderful records and took excellent care of his bus PO2 did a few things but did not keep up the records it is also known that the bus had been sitting from 2002 until PO3 had bought her it is unknown why she was sitting. PO3 Had her for one year and rebuilt the carb himself. Installed seatbelt’s for his kids.

As far as I can tell she has been through 3 engines and one transmission

  • 1979 Engine rebuild
  • 1989 Engine rebuild
  • 1989 Transmission rebuild
  • 1995 Engine rebuild
